  • Digital Project Manager

    What are we looking for?

We are looking for a focused individual who is organised and diligent, can work well in teams and has good verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of project management experience. Knowledge of website usability / UX (User Experience) and systems such as travel/hotel booking engines or CRMs are also a bonus. None of these points are essential though.

We’re looking for a project manager who can deal with many jobs ongoing all at once. This can range from small tasks that take an hour, up to large complicated features or full systems.

In this kind of role, it is key for you to get the best understanding possible of the client and their needs, as well as facilitating the action that our team will take to provide a solution. You are the advocate of the client within our team. Making sure that they get what they want and on time/budget is your main goal. This means taking ownership, tracking project progress, liaising with clients and keeping them informed, looking out for problems that could delay or derail a project, and taking steps to correct a problem once identified.

You will work closely with our existing project managers and our development team.

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

    • Coordinate internal resources
    •  Liaise with clients and managing client expectations
    •  Help to drive projects to successful conclusions
    • Manage changes to project requirements and schedule etc.
    • Report and escalate issues to management as needed
    • Create and maintain project management documentation
    •  Perform website testing (training will be provided)

    Essential skills

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking
    • Willingness and ability to ask questions
    • An ability to learn complex processes – with a real depth of understanding
    • A proactive attitude and drive to get things done
    • A commitment to the role

    Desired skills/experience

    • Prior project management experience
    • Experience with the travel industry and booking software
    • Project management degree / qualification
    • Understanding of website usability and UX principles
    • Prior digital agency experience

Other general points about working at Castus

    • We’re always looking to improve – that means if you have an idea that you think could work – that’s great – let’s look at it and try it out. This could be anything. Art on the walls, stand up meetings, some new tech. Anything you want to discuss.
    • We offer a vibrant city centre working location, a relaxed working environment plus regular team lunches and after-work socialising events.
    • We have great chairs and electric up/down desks, so you can work in comfort and how you want to work.
    • Semi-flexible working. If you need to work different hours to the norm, no problem, we can talk about that. If you need to work from home because you need to take an important delivery, no problem. What we don’t do (yet) is let people set their own working hours each day, but it’s something we are looking in to.
    • We all take lunch at the same time. This might seem a small point, but it means that we’re all free at the same time. We can chat at lunch, go out to lunch together or play darts, cards or other games together at lunch. It also means that if you want to speak to someone about your work, you know when everyone should be back at their desk and working again.
    • 23 days holiday – rising to 28 days over time.
    • Company pension.
